This male septet was formed "from the ashes," if you will, of another male ensemble called Full Table that used to be featured in our catalog (until they all graduated from college and disbanded). Some of the same members got back together and formed Sons of the Day, and we're glad they did!

The repertoire on this album is very varied, from classical numbers ("O Sacrum Convivium," "O Crux Benedicta") to pop and doo-wop classics ("That Lonesome Road," "In the Still of the Night") to some jazzy gospel (check out their take on Take 6's "Gold Mine") - these young men try their hands at 'em all! Most of their attempts hit their mark, but some need a bit more polish, but all performances are truly heartfelt. Their sound is warm, their arrangements are solid, and the design & packaging on this CD is just beautiful. If you're looking for some great male vocal role models for your group, look no further than Sons of the Day.
