Be the first to review this product
From the sheet music inside cover: About the text: In the southwest Pacific Ocean, there are 7000 tropical islands that comprise the Phillipines. The language of Pamugun is Maguindanao, one of the local languages in the province of the same name in Mindanao Island, the second largest island in the Phillipines. Maguindanao is related to Malay, the language spoken in Singapore and in Western Malaysia, the country nearest Mindanao Island. In the regions of Metro Maila, the largest city in the Phillippines, Tagalog is the language spoken; it is the base of the Filipino language. This text is of folk origin. It relates a conversation between a hunter and a sparrow. A showpiece by a renowned Filipino composer. For the advanced choir, scored SATTBB.
