A very original setting of the classic text by Harris for 8 parts. Beginning with a full, forceful homophonic opening, Harris then separates the men from the women - men on the melody, the women with a nice arpeggio above. The women then separate into the existing arpeggios with a descant above, building in intensity to a totally polyphonic climax. The ending is much sweeter, more gentle, but with a little dynamic twist. Not for the beginning choir, but definitely one for the repertoire.
