This 1997 release could be subtitled "the lost tapes." In 1981 the Cambridge Singers made their first recording, but the analog masters were lost. Fortunately a digital master was also made (an experimental technique at the time), and magically they reappeared in 1996. The half a cappella recording is chock full of wonderful carols, most arranged by John Rutter: "I Wonder As I Wander," "Silent Night," "What Child Is This" and many more. This one is a classic!
