Newly independent state Georgia, like Bulgaria, has been a crossroads between Asia and Europe for centuries. Its polyphonic musical tradition stands apart from its (largely monophonic) neighbors. This fabulous men's choir performs music from various Georgian regions and styles, ranging from quiet and sacred "Tsmindao Chmerto" to boisterous yodeling on "Ali-Pasha" and Easter ornamentation on "Chakrulo."
