Labeled on the music as a "Spiritual, freely arranged by Marshall Bartholomew," originally published in 1936 as part of the "Yale Glee Club Series." This is straight-ahead choral writing, very homophonic, almost identical rhythms in all the parts, with a good helping of traditional call-and-response technique. A good concept of authentic spiritual pronunciation will help in creating a convincing performance.

"From high school guys to adult choir men, this octavo is sure to capture and entertain! What a great, humorous rendition of the story of the animals boarding the ark. Yet, even though the story comes from Genesis, the credit is given to the Lamb! Great lesson. I've used it for quartet competition, and for church. Especially effective for the Children's Sermon."
