Telfer, Nancy: Singing in Tune
Be the first to review this product
This guide to achieving correct intonation by Nancy Telfer is truly meant to be a readily accessible, hands-on tool, not a reference book to sit on the shelf for occasional consultation. It begins with a listing of common intonation problems with a direct correlation to the applicable page in the book where those problems are addressed. For each issue addressed, Telfer briefly states the theory and rationale behind each concept, then goes straight to a Strategy/Activity format, giving a specific solution for each problem. Often she gives 2 or 3 different activity suggestions to address each issue, with lots of graphics to visually reinforce the sometimes ambiguous concepts of voice training. Because the writing is so directed and to-the-point, this is definitely a book that can be used right away in your rehearsal room tomorrow.
