"I head up a group of men who sing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our ministry name is "Acappella Ministry / For Men". We use this songbook as the core music we work with. It is solid. The learning tapes are wonderful. They make teaching the notes unnecessary. The arrangements are sound and easy to read. The variety of types of songs is also great for keeping an audience interested. There is enough material here for a 35-45 minute program. We started using this songbook in late August 2004. We have digressed some periodically for Christmas, and had gaps for vacations, etc. But these 12 songs were learned quickly, and we have performed them well. Now, 15 months after out start, we have found little need for anything more than this core material. In addition to everything musical about it, they also include a bible verse for each song. This helps us to focus our hearts on each song. Get this songbook with the learning tapes/CDs. It gives you a quartet quickly. And if you have a larger group (we are trying to get to about a dozen) it gives you something consistent for all to follow. All of the Good News! materials are wonderful. Give them a shot if you have a chance. You won't regret it. (PS: I have a cousin recently sent to Iraq. I am sending him materials for a whole quartet so he can have others join him in song. Who needs the Gospel more than those in harm's way?) "
