If you like Artisan's trio folk sound, you'll love Ottawa's The Finest Kind.Their debut disc opens with the rich English "The Banks of Sweet Primroses"and includes the 1890's music hall hit "The Miner's Dream of Home" and thevaudevillian "The Night Pat Murphy Died." One highlight for this reviewer isthe century-old "A Handful of Maple Leaves," a patriotic Canadian tuneoriginally written for the Boer War and updated for World War I and II.
