This live album was compiled by Six (formerly the Knudsen Bros) from performances all over the world throughout 2002 and 2003. Opening with a groovy cover of the Doobie Brothers' "Listen to the Music", this is clearly a rock 'n' roll album. And yes, there are instruments here - electric and acoustic guitars with plenty of effects - but the percussion is still done vocally by Jak and Owen, and the instruments are played by Six as well. So there's no slacking goin' on here! These guys have plenty of energy and humor to boot, as is evident on "Twist and Shout." "Oh, Pretty Woman" is one big jam session, introducing all the members of the group, and especially showing off their rhythm section on VP and bass. This album is just packed with hits - an awesome cover of U2's "With Or Without You," a kickin' version of the Romantics' "What I Like About You," a boppin' "Elvis Medley," and of course, what live a cappella album would be complete with "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"? These guys are consummate performers, and this album highlights them at their best, covering favorites with that signature Knudsen flair. (65:19 2003)
