This King's Singers arrangement of the Billy Joel pop ballad is truly beautiful. Lawson scores the ensemble in the same rhythm at the beginning, in 5-part chords. After the bridge, the sopranos take the melody with background singing "ooo" - a nice break from the vertical movement of the opening section. This one demands a lot of expression and control on the part of the singers. A good choice for an intermediate group. Approx. running time: 3:30.

"My group used this as our third song in an eight-song set and it brought down the house. It's gorgeous, and since it's not one of those Billy Joel songs that's been done a million times (like "And So It Goes"), it's refreshing. A great arrangement if you've got a strong lower end that can sing chromatic lines."
