This is Off the Beat's 12th original recording, released during the fall of 2002. The album features songs arranged and performed by Off the Beat in the '01-'02 school year and includes one special song, "Beautiful," which was brought back during that year and recorded by popular demand. In addition, Morgan McOwen won the 2003 A Cappella Recording Award for Best Coed Collegiate Soloist in the nation for her performance of "Mama." This album was nominated for the 2003 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award for Best Mixed Collegiate Album in the nation as well. Also, "Crawling in the Dark" is included as the first track on the 2003 Best Of Collegiate A Cappella (BOCA) CD. In typical Off the Beat style, this album combines well-known alternative, rock, and pop with some lesser-known selections that demonstrate the breadth of Off the Beat.
