This is Off the Beat's 11th original recording, a self-titled album released during the fall of 2001. The album features songs arranged and performed by Off the Beat in the '00-'01 school year, and this album includes, "Here With Me," which was chosen for the 2002 Best Of Collegiate A Cappella (BOCA) CD. This album, also known as "Jello," won the 2002 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award for Best Mixed Collegiate Album in the nation. Also, Morgan McOwen's rendition of "I Will Love Again" was named runner-up Best Mixed Collegiate Soloist in the country for the 2002 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards. In addition to these credits, the track, "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)" arranged by Dan Leberman and Abby Schneiderman was also nominated for Best Coed Collegiate Arrangement in the country for the 2002 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards. On this album, Off the Beat combines some well-known alternative, rock, and pop songs with some captivating and challenging unknown choices that make Jello an exciting new addition to this relatively young group's strong collection.
