This streetcorner group got its start back in the summer of 1963, whenfounder Frankie Lafaro and some friends from West Philly started singingtogether. They never got beyond a demo record back then, but now the reconstitutedband has fulfilled their dream of recording the harmonies of their youth,and were nominated for a 1998 Best Album CARA. Their song choice goes beyondthe typical tunes, with "Today," "Lost Love," bopping"Oh But She Did"and foot-tapping "Philadelphia" as wellas familiar "Save The Last Dance For Me" and "I’ll BeForever Loving You."
