This is Off the Beat's 15th original recording released during the fall of 2005. This album features songs arranged and performed by Off the Beat in the '04-'05 school year, and the first track entitled, "So Cold" is included on the 2006 Best of Collegiate A Cappella (BOCA) CD. This album has received numerous accolades including the 2006 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award (CARA) for Best Mixed Collegiate Album in the nation. In addition, Jacob Cooper's arrangement of "So Cold" received the 2006 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award for Best Mixed Collegiate Arrangement, and "So Cold" also won the 2006 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award for Best Mixed Collegiate Song. Float contains many current known and unknown alternative and rock hits as well as some throwbacks to old classics. This album truly highlights Off the Beat's unique style, range, and musical energy.
