The Watersons were (are) one of the premiere performers of British Isles folk music. The 21 songs compiled here are drawn not only from their 1975 release of this title, but also solo works later issued by individual members. Melody and story line are central in this art form, as the harmony is sparse but charming as voices weave between unison, duets and three-part harmony (four-part chords are rare).
