Artisan's first all-original holiday CD since Paper Angels is truly a treat. Featuring fourteen Brian Bedford tunes that describe the modern holiday entity that is "Christmas" with lots of humor and just a touch of irony. Their tips to the modern include "E-mail to Santa" and "Cynical Christmas" with more traditional, warm fuzzies in "Silver and Gold" and "Home for Christmas." Singing it all in their wonderful three-part, folk-flavored harmony, these 20-year a cappella veterans truly feel like old friends.
