The Flirtations were for years a gay quintet based in New York. After the death of Michael Callen, the group reformed temporarily as a gay and lesbian trio based out of Provincetown, Massachusetts before breaking up in 1997. This recording shows they had the humor, the "in your face" attitude of the earlier Flirtations. The trio harmonizes well on classic songs like "Breaths" and funny new contributions such as "Food Chain" (an ode to seafood and being "queen of the food chain"). The only female Flirtation ever, Suede is sultry on "Sister (Miss Celie's Blues)." (43:01 1996)
