A 21-voice women's ensemble from Jamestown, CO, Sound Circle has a great sound. Despite being a member of the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses, the music - while political - isn't stereotypical. They do a lovely job with "Sun Won't Stop" and dabble in Sweet Honey in the Rock covers, with a beautiful "Wanting Memories" and the haunting "Would You Harbor Me?" Their "Something Inside So Strong" (arranged by Jon Arterton of the Flirtations) is very nicely done, and the original "Mother Moon" has a poignant ring to it. (57:23 1998)
