"This is one of my all time favorite a-capella pieces I have performed. I first sang this piece as part of a choral program in New York. We sang this piece along with other great works. This peice, however touched me the most. Manuel's detail to melody and contrasting lines is amazing. The feel of performing in Carnegie Hall along with about 300 other singers only added to the intensity of this piece for me. We sang the piece again when we had our spring concert (in Travelers Rest, SC) and again it had an amazing impact. I usually find it difficult to make it through the entire piece without getting choked up. I would rate this piece beyond a 5. It is beautiful and inspirational. This is the only piece of Manuel's that I have performed but it's all I need to know that he is a fantastic composer. "

The Most Amazing Piece Ever!!!

"I absolutely adore this song. When I first heard it I fell in love it right away. After hearing the story line of how this song was written it was simply impossible to give it anything other than my all. This year in choir I was a little nervous since there are so many new faces, but this song has really brought us all together and the musicality of it all is phenominal!!! "

"His setting of "Alleluia" ranks right up there with the Randall Thompson "Alleluia" for me. My choir(s) perform it regularly as a reminder of the tragic Murrah Building bombing in Oklahoma City in 1995. The OKC based Canterbury Choral Society performed Manuel's "Alleluia" on the nationally televised Memorial Service for the victims of the bombing."
