"I absolutely love this arrangement of "The Holly and the Ivy". This carol is one I've traditionally thought of being quite boring, but Kirby's treatment of this song makes it so fun! Full of syncopated rhythms and tight harmonies, the song is not difficult to learn and sounds so effective very quickly. Probably the most difficult thing about the arrangement is learning the rhythms - especially if you are used to the traditional version of the song. But they quickly become quite natural. This feels great to sing - fantastic choral writing. Kirby Shaw, you've done it again!!"
