This CD is borne of the unlikely juxtaposition of old cowboy and mountain songs based on historical American music with jazz harmonies and a quartet of city singers - three women and one guy. Nonetheless it works on songs such as "Witchi Tai To" (with its Native American feel), plaintive "Goodby Old Paint" and "Tumblin' Tumbleweeds," thanks to Morgan Ames' arrangements. (43:30 2001)
