Peggy's Angels are a 17-woman group out of Amsterdam with a lovely, varied repertoire. There's a fair number of instruments making brief appearances (including on the rockin' "Lady Marmelade," the Lapland tune "Gula, Gula," and "Mapenzi Yanitesa.") Their cover of Sweet Honey's "Denko" is goose-bumpy, they more than do justice to Värttinä's "Katariina," and their "Girl Talk" is smooth and jazzy. (42:03 2000)
