This vocal ensemble from Minnesota has been harmonizing for quite some time, and has produced several accompanied sacred recordings along with a Christmas album. This 1997 release (digitally remastered in 2002) is so named because fans have long asked for a recording of their Phil Mattson-inspired vocal jazz performances - and here it is! The recording is reminiscent of some of the Singers Unlimited accompanied CDs. The nine numbers are largely accompanied by a talented rhythm section, but there is plenty of smooth close harmony throughout, on songs such as "Yesterdays," Chick Corea's "La Fiesta," and "Mickey's Diner." Along with a number of unaccompanied interludes and intros, there's one a cappella gem - the lovely CARA-nominated ballad "Not Like This" - just gorgeous! (51:09 1997)
