2001 International Chorus Champions, New Tradition continue to create great music under the leadership of Jay Giallambardo. As you might expect from New Tradition, this recording mixed barbershop with a broader palette of male chorus styles. Song choice is exceptional: "Taking a Chance on Love," barbershop standard "You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby," lovely "The White Cliffs of Dover" and favorite "Imagination" are just part of this musical "journey." The chorus takes you from those "Big Band Days" at "Tuxedo Junction" through a "Gershwin Medley" and of course, "Sentimental Journey." The CD ends with the piece which moved the 2002 International audience to tears - "A Dedication to September 11th, 2001."
