Though a young choir (established in 2003), this university group took many honors, including the top prize at the 2005 Florileze Vocal de Tour International Choir Competition in Tours France. This level of success automatically enters them in the 2006 European Grand Prix for Choral Singing, to be held in Tolosa Spain. Auspicious beginnings, indeed!

This CD was recorded before the choir's tremendous success at the international competition in France, but after hearing it, you will not be surprised at their success. The director of this student choir, Dr. Brady R. Allred, with members coming and going as their educational careers evolve, is very adept at maintaining the quality of the choir's performance.

This offering includes many Christmas pieces not often recorded, such as "As It Fell Upon a Night," "Night of All Nights," "Christmas Morn," "Neighbors, "On This Frosty Tide" and "Shine for Me Again: Star of Bethlehem." Eleven of the CD's 24 pieces were composed or arranged by Utah musicians, and most are accompanied by piano, as well as flute and bells.
