This jam-packed disc of Sharks Doo-wop includes 28 songs, eight of which are previously unreleased recordings, making this CD a great representation of the canon of doo-wop standards. The "Bass Sounds of Steve Horn" are featured on all the cuts, and the liner notes consist primarily of photos of Mr. Horn with other performers including Howdy Doody and Cowboy Bob. Two important points made in the accompanying notes are first, that The 5 Sharks who recorded on Time Square from Floral Park Queens was a different group, and second, some of the tracks on the CD were transferred from analog tapes and vinyl sources which may affect their quality. All of this content makes for a full hour of doo wop delight. (62:06 2003)
