This is the debut CD of this Boston area women's group made up of 11 singers. The CD's set-up is to have one "Chant" sing the lead on each number, with the rest of the group singing back-up. On their home page, the group explains that the size of their ensemble allows them to create richer harmonies and produce a more refined sound. The tracks on the CD reflect their wide repertoire of pop, rock, jazz and folk music, with some selections indicating an adventuresome spirit in that the choices are not just tried and true covers. Keeping together this large a group of busy adults for rehearsals and gigs must be difficult, but this CD shows that these talented gals are up to that challenge. (46:02)
