There are too many highlights and strong moments on this to do it justice in one paragraph. "Just Want To Be With You Today" is a throbbing, memorable folk/pop piece. The Indian and Punjabi selection ("Talking taal/Lange aaga") begins with a rhythmic clapping and chanting and covers a wide range of vocal sounds, some unusual in Western a cappella. The album has an intriguing rhythm created by switching back and forth between English-language folk (and African-American spirituals) and a sampling of international material - including Azerbaijani ("Ay Lachin") and Afro-Peruvian ("La Ruperta").
