Linda Hirschhorn and Vocolot's 2002 release is just as powerful and beautiful as their earlier releases, blending subjects and styles seamlessly. Particular touching is the timely "Sarah and Hagar," a modern take on the Biblical story and a lesson in peace in the Middle East. Also powerful and beautiful at the same time is "La Comida," about being a Merrano in Inquisition-era Spain. You don't have to speak Hebrew or Ladino, or be Jewish, to enjoy this wonderful album.
