What an incredible sound! This amazing women's group from Oakland has the ability to take us to another place, more exotic than our own. One can practically see the ancient Turkish cities at sunset. Performing Eastern European music to perfection, they mesmerize with their sound. The arrangements are a perfect blend of the modern and the traditional. Highlights include "Malo Selo," a traditional piece from Bulgaria, and "Tsintsharo," a Georgian song that absolutely transports the listener to incredible surroundings. Magnificent! (57:25 1999)
