This album in a sense is a trip back to their roots for The Persuasions, bringing clean simple harmonies and passionate delivery to a wide range of songs - mostly popular, but gospel and other styles as well. Their opener, Solomon Burke's "I Have A Dream" is impassioned… and yes, those are female voices guest appearing as well! Bass Jim Hayes is featured on "In The Ghetto," one of three Elvis songs (along with "Don't" and "Good Luck Charm"). They finally record Paul Anka's "She's A Lady," bring an Al Greene vibe to "Ain't No Sunshine" and do a simple bass/lead duet on "Dock Of The Bay." Cleanly recorded and performed, this is one that'll please old Persuasions fans, and make plenty of new ones! (55:04 2003)
