On "Cynara", the choir straddles a millennium of texts and music with ease, from the exquisite sound of the "Pie Jesu" and the exotic title-track "Cynara", to the very ethnic Celtic sounds of "Fuígfidh Mise'n Baile Seo" and "Christus 2000". "Cynara" also features the rare and exotic sounds of Medieval Irish music with the dramatic "Igitur Servus" and gentle "Miserere" providing a window to the ancient past."
