In-house review:
With Sean Altman and Jeff Thacher's pop a cappella brilliance and experience, could this be anything other than a great CD? (Here's a challenge - find the "Zombie Jamboree"-ish grunts in one of the tracks. If there was any doubt as to who was involved with this project, it ends there!) The songs are almost entirely in Hebrew, but the appeal of Kol Zimra's youthful, energetic performance transcends any language barriers. These singers have evolved so much since their debut Sameach recording ("Kulanu Beyachad"), it's a pleasure to hear their growth in these songs, which infuse traditional, Semitic-harmonies with radio-ready pop stylings (vocal percussion and all!). It's a very interesting combination, but it totally works here. (55:39 2004)
