Darmon Meader has established himself as a giant in choral a cappella arrangements. The Irish folk melody, "Londonderry Air" with text by Fred Weatherly is masterfully arranged by Darmon, for SATB a cappella voices. Beautiful, independent voices move in fluid lines, creating lush, vocal harmonies that evoke images of Irish pasture land and vivid descriptions of love lost and mourned. This could be the new definitive edition of the most popular Irish song of all time. Simply stunning!

"I have been singing this arrangement with my choir for about four years, and after every single performance, audience members comment on its beauty. As a singer, it is absolutely gorgeous to sing, with really beautiful harmonies, mixed with effective unison singing. Most voice parts split into two parts for short moments during the piece, but it is generally in four (relatively easy) parts. The melody is sung in different verses by different voices: ALL (unison), Sopranos, Bass, and Altos (which has a beautiful soprano descant line floating over the top). I have also taught this arrangement to a school choir, and they loved it too - many of them say it is their favourite choral piece to sing ever, and it's definitely up their on my list too! Whether you are a Darmon Meader fan, or you are new to his arrangements, you will NOT be disappointed by Danny Boy."
