From the group's web site: "Vocation is not only an a cappella group, but also a group accompanied by either a quartet or a big band. Reviews, given in Swedish newspapers during a tour in Sweden, closely linked Vocation to The Real Group, Take 6, Gals and Pals, as well as to Manhattan Transfer and the New York Voices. Although the group has performed for Swedish radio as well as Swedish television, Vocation's main arenas vary from private parties and jazz clubs, to churches and various concert halls. Vocation was given the "Choice of the Audience Award" at the International Vocal Group Festival in Tilburg, Holland in 2002.
Vocation is today a well-known act in Swedish Jazz. The group has performed on stages along with musicians as Martin Stenmarck and La Gaylia Frazier. They have worked with conductor Örjan Fahlström, trumpeter Fredrik Norén, Carl-Axel and Monica Dominique, and many more. Even though it is a tough business and their career has but started the future of Vocation looks bright, mainly because the singers see the work of the group not only as their occupation but also as their Vocation."

The CD begins with innovative arrangements of "It don't mean a thing" and "Without a song", with the instrumental accompaniment (piano, sax, bass, and drums) sharing the spotlight equally with the vocals. Track 3, "Regnets sång", is a beautiful a cappella waltz sung in Swedish. Five of the eleven songs are done a cappella, mostly in English, and the albums concludes with a straight-ahead version of the Johnny Mercer/Harold Arlen classic "Come rain or come shine" lasting nearly seven minutes, allowing time for vocal and instrumental solos and interplay. Another wonderful jazz CD from Sweden!
