Magnets, The: Giving It All That
Be the first to review this product
Brits the Magnets released this debut EMI disc with a bang,
starting it with 30-second VP solo (which ends with a quiet "Oh, Shut up!").
Other cuts include Hall and Oates' "Can't Go For That" with a 90s' style rap
thrown in to modernize it, and closing track "Still," which shows off the
group's abilities wonderfully. CARA-winner "All The Wrong Reasons"
demonstrates that someone at EMI knew a really good thing when they signed
this group, the legitimate successors to the Backstreet Boys, N'Sync,
98Degrees and the rest of them. It's a radio-oriented pop song with an edge,
terrific vocals, outstanding vocal percussion and energy to spare.
"Abracadabra" is sexy, and "Sign Your Name" is downright sensual. What a
terrific disc! (49:20 - 2000)
