Burt is remarkable as the only composer of modern times to have written Christmas carols which have entered the American tradition, widely and frequently performed by community groups, as well as celebrity singers and musicians. "The Christmas Mood" is an original 1954 recording of The Columbia Choir and The Ralph Carmichael Brass Ensemble in Hollywood, California. (39:42 2000)
