"By any standards "Sensation" is an unusual, beautiful and original work, featuring the entire group of 30 voices on record for the first time. Guests include traditional music diva Maire Breathnach on viola and violin, Noel Eccles on vibraphone and percussion, Kenneth Edge on saxophones, Andreja Mahlir on concert harp and Breton music legend Gilles Servat on the title track in what is probably Anuna's most unusual collaboration on disc to date. This album is undoubtedly Anuna's finest recorded work, and will hopefully open their particular unique ambience to a new audience. (Description taken from Anuna's web site. )

Siobhán Long, in "The Irish Times" wrote: "Sensation is an agile leap into the unknown, populated entirely by McGlynn's original compositions...air and light penetrate Anúna's deep harmonies with almost aquatic ease. Soloist Sharon Carty's luminous rendition of Lux Aeterna is a particular treat..."

There are only 11 tracks on the record, and the group sings in multiple languages including Irish, English, French, Auvergnat, Latin and Middle English. All the music is written by Michael McGlynn, and the album is produced by Michael and Brian Masterson."
