From the opening strains of "Come Together" you can tell you're in for something spectacular, as Basix hits us with everything they've got on their sophomore release.Shades of vocal jazz a la m-pact abound throughout the album. These classically-trained performers know how to sing, with a tight, clean sound and imaginative original tunes like boy-band pop "Right Now," Latin-flavored "Dining Out," and jazzy-funky-sexy "Sweet Misery" (check out the vocal 70's guitar riffs). Their cover of Prince's "Purple Rain" featuring singers from the Herning Boys Choir is simply inspired. U.S. contemporary group Hookslide lends their vocal percussionist Jon Pilat on "Living and Loving It," and the album was produced by m-pact' s Britt Quentin and the House Jacks' Deke Sharon. This reviewer's favorite -"If You Were My Woman" - brings classic George Michael to mind, with a funky, sexy groove that cannot be ignored. This album is a big hunk of tasty, hip-rocking, vocal jazz/pop music, best to be enjoyed loud and often. (47:11 2003)

"I was so impressed by this CD and group that I got in contact with Britt Quentin to perform "Come Together" with my own vocal jazz group. BaSix has some amazing arrangements that highlight their jazzy pop abilities - that is sometimes missing in the vocal jazz world. They do justice to covers and impress your ear with their own arrangements such as "Sweet Misery" and "Right Now," which I consider to be the best tracks. They play with humor on "Dining Out" and groove with "Come Together." Definitely not a CD to be missed."
