If Chanticleer has ever received a bad review, it would be a shock to anyone who has ever listened to them. With a perfection that has come to typify their performances, Chanticleer offers up a collection of early music to soothe the soul. Even staunch fans will be suitably impressed by the quality. Of note are the "Ave Maria, Mater Dei" by William Cornish, Claudio Monteverdi's "Stabbat Virgo Maria" and an unbelievable performance of "Maria, Quid Plorus" by the Italian composer Aquilino Coppini.
