This extraordinary collection of music from the Americas is the perfect programming to display Chanticleer's exquisite musicality. Their unison is flawless on Appalachian "Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah." Their Renaissance sensibilities come through on Spanish-American "Credidi," yet they morph flawlessly to the distinctive shape note sound on "David's Lamenation" by Billings. Then they are round and jazzy on Gershwin's "Love Walked In" (arranged by Gene Puerling), and their stupendous vocal range (male sopranos to basso profundo) comes through on hot "Willow Weep For Me" - wow!
