What a perfect title for this album that celebrates the beauty of Christmas. The Concordia Choir, which sings out of Concordia College in Moorhead Minnesota, has been performing world-renowned Christmas concerts for close to 75 years. This choir lends a warm, rich sound to each song, making it perfect for that quiet winter evening around the fireplace. Even more wonderful is the selection of non-traditional music. Though there are some very well known pieces, the bulk of the disc is made up of the lesser-known. Memorable moments include "How Still He Lies," a hauntingly beautiful piece performed with chimes and oboe, "Lost In The Night," and moving versions of the traditional pieces "Lo, How A Rose E'er Blooming," and "Infant Holy, Infant Lowly."
