In 1988 a small group of men dedicated to the art of music in the Barbershop style formed Midwest Vocal Express men's a cappella chorus. It was love of singing that brought them together, with goals of musical excellence, a professional level of showmanship, continuing education in the unique American musical style and having a great time!

Each year over 800 Barbershop chapters worldwide come together to compete, and the Midwest Vocal Express has a decade-long run as Wisconsin's only top ten men's a cappella chorus. MVE has captured audiences and a trio of medals during that period. Known for being the stage presentation innovator, the MVE recently released a DVD, "MVEvolution, Changing the Barbershop Contest Stage."
