From the group's website:

"The Sirens are a talented group of women who perform without any instrumental accompaniment by emulating the sonority of instruments solely with our voices. The group balances fresh and innovative songs with numerous well-known and recognizable favorites. The result is a diverse repertoire including contemporary, pop, jazz, rock classics and oldies, ensuring that there is something for everyone."

This is an all-a cappella product.

"I am not usually an A Capella fan, but I thought this CD was amazing. I can't believe that this is all human voice! Great choice of songs, cool, modern stuff. And the girls are cute too!"

"I do not claim to be a music critic. I am however an avid collector of all types of American Popular Music and read constantly on the subject. Needless to say, since I have a very close relative in The Sirens I'm going to give the album *****. However, there is more to my thinking than this blatant nepotism. The Sirens, its seems to me are a 21st Century example of the great American tradition of making music for the their own enjoyment and the enjoyment of those dear to them. If these women had been born a hundred years earlier they may have seemed like a precursor to the legendary Carter Family. Of course they sing great and their CD is is spectacularly engineered. However, the fact that this is only one component of the active lives these women lead makes their accomplishment even more amazing. What a concept," Making music for the sheer joy of it." When it comes to The Sirens, I think Cyndi Lauper got it just right. "
