Once again, the Toxins prove why they're the most entertaining all-vocal group around. Their sense of humor is irresistible on "Blinded Me With Science" and parody "God Must've Spent a Little Less Time on You." Their long tradition of "original covers" carries forward with unique takes on "Paperback Writer," "Turn the Beat Around," "Autumn Leaves" and the crowd-pleasing live show hit "Do it in the Road." The 80's Til Tuesday hit "Voices Carry" is especially noteable here - check out the Indian raga-flavored improv and Toxic's jazz diva Michelle Mailhot's skillful scatting - absolutely inventive! They've always had interesting originals, like "Putting Words in My Mouth." A must have! (2002)
