This mostly-live album features two of the most prominent vocal groups from the well-known jazz program at the University of Northern Colorado, under the direction of Gene Aitken. The Axidentals' set includes "Days of Wine and Roses" and "Penny Benny." They strut their a cappella stuff on "Good Lovin'," Toto's "Africa" (arranged by Randy Crenshaw), and the Jobim ballad "If You Never Come To Me." Sus 4's a cappella "How About You" is a definite standout, and the arrangement of Ellington's "Lemon Drop" closes the show with a bang! Seven of 16 tracks are a cappella, and 11 of these arrangements are published by UNC Jazz Press. (45:34 1989)
