This CD was recorded in Germany during their 2005 tour of Europe during which they were awarded six prizes in the Florilège Vocal de Tours 2005 International Choir Competition, including the grand prize. The mixed choir of approximately 50 singers sounds larger, perhaps due to the very lively acoustics of the venue in which the recording was made. This is an excellent 100 percent a cappella CD. It starts with a bang on the title track "A Jubilant Song" by Rene Clausen. The singers perform some very difficult material with great poise and musicality including works by Tavener, Hawley and Whitacre. Take a musical journey with a really well prepared and competent university choir. (73:32 2005)
