Cantus: Tidings
Be the first to review this product
Men's ensemble Cantus offers a classical Christmas collection, mixing the familiar with the less so. It opens with the chant "Veni, Veni Emmanuel" and "O Magnum Mysterium" - but this one's by de Gallus. Along the way there's "Gabriel's Message" by Rutter, an unusual but lovely arrangement by Distler of "Lo, How A Rose E'er Blooming," and Vaughn Williams' setting of "I Saw Three Ships." Nicely done! (50:03 1998)
