The Real Group is the number one seller in our catalog, and this CD is just the latest example of why! The Swedish pop/jazz phenoms have created a pleasurable collection of original songs, nearly all in English (except closer "Gøta" which is wordless). The song topics are both personal and universal. "Prime Time Blues" opens the CD and inspires the title: "In the middle of life/We're on top of the world/But under pressure/Prime time blues." "I Tried" addresses a failed attempt at being honest to one who once was loved. And the music runs the range from pop to jazz (the latter includes "Spring Is Coming" with a soaring soprano scat solo - great!). The only downside of this recording is that the price reflects the falling dollar - but hey, these guys are the best! (49:18 2005)
